What should you be eating in Autumn?

It is no secret that everything we put in our mouths will have an affect on our body. Food can make us feel happy, energetic, or it can have the opposite effect and make us feel sluggish, tired and even depressed.

To feel your best all year round, I am a big believer in adjusting your diet with every season. Why? Because eating with the season allows you to eat as nature intended. During the cooler autumn and winter periods the diet calls for foods that are higher in protein and fat. You will notice that as the weather starts to cool, your body will naturally crave soups, nuts, warm grains, and protein like meat and fish.

Think of seasonal fruits and vegetables as nature's multi vitamins, popping up to give you what you need the most, when you need it. Choosing fruit and vegetables that are in season also means you're eating food that's been grown and harvested in peak conditions.
