Create a little magic and save your sanity these school holidays and take your little ones exploring. I was amazed at how much there is to do around Brisbane, here are my top 10. We also have 2 tickets to Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts to give away for THIS SATURDAY July 4.

  1. Go strawberry at The Berry Patch at Chambers Flat  
  2. Explore the microscopic world with hands-on Atomic Theory workshops for children 6 - 12 years at the QLD Museum. See It's Atomic for further information and booking details. 6 - 9 July, 2015.
  3. Head to La Boite Theatre Company and Check out Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes & Dirty Beasts, turning your favourite nursery rhymes upside-down and inside-out. Join Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Goldilocks and Jack and his hum, plus an extraordinary array of pigs, bears, beanstalks and dwarfs in a higgledy-piggledy mash-up of hilarious fairytale mayhem. On from 4-11 July for kids aged 5+. Win your way way there by emailing valeria@thewellnest.com.au with why you must win two tickets to see the show this Saturday July 4.   4. Check out Bricks N Fun in Capalaba for indoor Lego fun.
  5. Head to Victoria Park Golf Course for Mini Putt Putt or one of their golf camp   
  6. We love heading out to Wynnum, Bribie or Redcliffe for beachside play and fish & chips.
  7. Head to your local library for their FREE holiday events for kids (see the Brisbane Kids Event Calendar for more info)
  8. Visit Daisy Hill Koala Centre for a picnic and viewing of the Koalas FREE
  9. We love packing a picnic and climbing at the amazing New Farm Park playground.
  10. Learn how to grow a herb garden or make a worm farm at your local Bunnings.
