They say a Sunday well spent brings a week of content. This is very true for me. Aside fom relaxing, I like to get oganised for the week ahead to make our lives flow a little better. Here are my five Sunday rituals:
I like to plan out my week so that I know what's happening. I double check emails, write up appointments, plan out future tranning sessions for my girls and make lists of everything I need to get done. If I don't do this, I forget things and experience great anxiety for falling behind.
Sunday is the perfect day to do a little extra in the kitchen. I like to prep our snacks, soak grains and legumes, make almond milk, and stocks on Sundays so that we aren't caught off guard during the week. I also like to plan what we will be having for breakfast, lunch and dinners that week so that everyone knows what's on the menu.
When Orlando goes to sleep like I like to wash my hair, pop a treatment in, a masque on my face, shave my legs, exfoliate and moisturise. I don't get time to do this too often so have got into the habit to pamper myself on Sunday nights. I go sleep feeling relaxed, and wake up feeling a million dollars.
I try to get to a class, but if I can't, I always make time to spend at least 30 mins stretching, using the foam roller and breathing. My body feels amazing after doing this and my muscles are set for the week ahead.
Although I do loads of washing through the week, it tends to pile up and breed like rabits. Sunday we put stuff away as a family (orlando empties the washing basket on the floor and takes my underwear around the house), wash the sheets, burn some heavenly candles, open very window and get the house fresh.
